2 Hearken [qashab] unto the voice [qowl] of my cry, [sheva`] my King, [melek] and my God: ['elohiym] for unto thee will I pray. [palal] KJV-Interlinear
2 Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, For to Thee do I pray. NASB
The cry for assistance, for help, comes in times of stress, in times of trouble, in times when there is nothing else you can do, in times when life has driven you down and run away from you, in times when you are helpless and powerless and seemingly without hope.
To my King and God. Everyone has an authority they look to. There is no one who does not have a superior. We all have someone we are obligated to, whether we accept it or not.
In life God has set up various systems of authority, designed to keep human society safe and on track, and designed to teach us all that our ultimate authority is God.
If we reject the authority which God has established for us here in this life, then we cannot really orient to God as our authority, since we have rejected Hid design. You cannot pick and choose which of Gods rules you will obey and which you will not.
Disobedience in one is disobedience in all.
God is the ultimate authority and His plan and design are our marching orders for life.
For to you I pray.
There is no one, and nothing in this world or in life, to which we can turn, other than God.
Our family, our culture, our ancestors, the plant life, the animal life, the seasons and acts of nature, the sun and moon and stars, and all the things we can or cannot see, have no power to hear, let alone answer prayer.
Life swirls all around us and is beyond our control. We cannot control other people. We cannot control the systems of society. We cannot control the bureaucracies in the world. We cannot control chance or accidents or karma, if you will.
But what we can control is our own destiny. And that control comes through our decision and determination to learn doctrine, to understand doctrine, to grow up in our spiritual life, to learn responsibility and orientation to life, by means of Gods grace plan for us.
While the world swirls away, we can fulfill our own completion and destiny, by recognizing life and our own limitations and by embracing Gods grace and plan, which is specifically designed for each one of us.
To ignore His plan is to waste your entire life chasing after everything that the world has, which is nothing. But to embrace Gods plan, is to secure a phenomenal life now and future which is in front of us.
