2 Peter 3:17
17 Ye [humeis] therefore [oun], beloved [agapetos], seeing ye know these things before [proginosko], beware [phulasso] lest [hina me] ye also [ekpipto], being led away [sunapago] with the error [plane] of the wicked [athesmos], fall from [ekpipto] your own [idios] stedfastness [sterigmos]. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard lest, being carried away by the error of unprincipled men, you fall from your own steadfastness, NASB
Your worst fear in life cannot come from this world or anything in it.
Your worst fear comes only from what God can withhold from you, from what you can lose by simply ignoring the scriptures and your spiritual life.
You are aware of the pitfalls of the lack of doctrine.
The angels had a perfect universe, turned against doctrine, and ruined the universe.
Adam had the perfect environment, turned against doctrine and lost his perfect home.
The generation of Noah had perfect opportunity, turned against doctrine and were judged and destroyed.
Some future generation (perhaps sooner than we think) will have the perfect opportunity in doctrine, but will miss out on the Rapture and be left behind facing the worst kind of life in the Tribulation, far worse than anyone will have ever faced in all of history prior to the Tribulation.
You have life now. Your only perfect life and destiny comes to your through doctrine and from no other source.
Turn against doctrine, argue with doctrine, get up on your high horse, perceive yourself smarter than you really are, become indifferent, inconsistent, apathetic toward Bible doctrine, and you will follow the pattern of life that everyone else in history, who has done this, has followed, and you will meet ruin, loss and destruction as only you can do to yourself.
There are only two opinions in this universe – Gods, which is truth, and everything else, which are not truth.
