Psalm 33:20

Psalm 33:20

20 Our soul [nephesh] waiteth [chakah] for the LORD [Yahovah]: he is our help [`ezer] and our shield [magen].  KJV-Interlinear

20 Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.   ESV

Faith in Christ opens up an almost infinite list of possibilities and opportunities.  Because of the many things that we have just studied in the previous verses, we as believers in Christ are convinced that He is our help, our hope, our shield, our eternal destiny, and far more.

Christians, look to Christ and know that no matter what happens in life, whether prosperity or poverty, good health or bad, safety or danger, no matter what the situation may be in this world, for it is the devils world, He is always there to watch over us and protect us, and deliver us as is fitting in His plan for us.

The ultimate goal of the Christian life is in eternity. There is nothing in this world that can replace eternity or act as a substitute for it.

It is our mission to endure the hardships as they may be, and understand that it is the policy of evil that rules for the time being, but it is temporary and Christ will one day, put a permanent end to it.

Our soul is our life and our soul possesses phenomenal abilities and capacities.  This physical world places many limitations on us that restricts what our soul life can do or accomplish.

From the genetic restrictions that we have to interact through, ie., the soul interacts through the brain, the brain through the body, making our physical self, restricted in what our abilities are, to the physical surroundings of this world that limit us in virtually every aspect of life.

But one day, those restrictions will vanish when we are changed into our resurrection bodies, which will be free of constraints, allowing more things that we probably cannot even begin to imagine.

Unbelief has nothing to look forward to.  Disbelief has nothing to look forward to.

Faith in Christ opens up an almost infinite list of possibilities and opportunities.  There is no risk of loss or failure through faith in Christ.
