Christmas - 2006

Christmas - 2006
(Original Poem by R Thieme.  Edited and expanded by J Neely)

T’was the night before Christmas, and all through the world
A message was preached, a challenge was hurled

Believe on the son, and thou shalt be saved
The road to heaven, with His blood is paved

From out of the darkness, of sin and despair
Comes God’s salvation, the fairest of fair

Born in a manger, no room at the inn
God in the flesh, came and died for our sin

The angels sang, the shepherds rejoiced
Messiah has come, the message is voiced

To joyous people, those far and those near
Christmas has come, Immanuel is here

Believe with your heart, with all of your might
Salvation is yours, on this great holy night

Persist in your growth, in your spiritual life
Learn, grow, and win, over life's constant strife

To the mighty comes none, to the proud there is loss
To the weak an abundance, the fruit of Gods Cross

Come one and come all, open hearts to Gods call
For he who has faith, belongs the greatest of all.

I wish to thank each and every one of you for your ongoing and continued support, and dedication to this Daily Bible Study.

From my family here in Oregon, to your family in all corners of the world, through this wonderful technology, which gives us all a very unique opportunity to study the Word of God together though we do not see each other, we wish all a very merry Christmas.

Keep in the Word, Isa. 41:10.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

And now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you without blemish before the presence of His Glory, with exceeding joy, to the only wise God and savior, even Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom be glory, and majesty, dominion and power forever and ever.  Amen!

End of Lesson.

Study to show thyself approved, (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing, (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
