Psalm 20:9

Psalm 20:9

9 Save, [yasha`] LORD: [Yahovah] let the king [melek] hear [`anah] us when [yowm] we call. [qara'] KJV-Interlinear

9 Save, O Lord; May the King answer us in the day we call. NASB

At the beginning of this psalm, there is a petition to God, to hear.

Throughout the psalm there is assurance that God will hear, when the person prays in accordance with Gods rules of the spiritual process.

And now at the end of the psalm, there is the confidence that God will deliver on His promise to answer all legitimate prayer, and fulfill the request.

The King, is God.

Save, is the answer God will provide for the prayer request.

When we call, is a prayer offered to God the Father, while in fellowship, in the name of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and in accordance with Gods divine plan for history and for the individual who is praying.

All prayer is directed to the Father.

All prayer must be submitted while in fellowship.

All spiritual activity of the individual functions only while you are in fellowship.

Fellowship status is acquired when the person confesses his sins to the Father.  ‘Father I did this and that and this and that.’  Fellowship is lost when you commit the next sin.  Then the confession process must be repeated.

All prayer must be compatible with Gods overall plan for creation, for humanity, for each respective historical era, for the individual life of the believer.

Prayers from unbelievers are never heard.  Unbelievers do not have any spiritual apparatus for interaction with God, with one exception, and that exception is when they believe in Christ and are then saved.  That is the only expression that God recognizes from unbelievers, namely the moment that they believe in Christ.

Then they become believers and a whole new set of rules governs their lives as believers.  And that new set of rules includes confession for fellowship, study for learning knowledge, usage of biblical principles for understanding, and the repetition of all of this for spiritual growth to maturity.

All of this activity excludes everything of the world, everything valued by man, everything initiated by man.  The spiritual life is Gods gift, of which God is the source, the effort, and the completion.

Mans effort and self-credit are rejected by God.

Psalm 20:8

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:8

8 They are brought down [kara`] and fallen: [naphal] but we are risen, [quwm] and stand upright. [`uwd] KJV-Interlinear

8 They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stood upright. NASB

Brought down, ‘kara,’ means to bow down, to prostrate, to be subdued, to be defeated.

Risen and stand upright is a reference to the opposite of the defeated.  It is the victor, the saved, and delivered, the one who is the last standing on the battle field and therefore the winner or the victor. There is no one left to fight.  The battle is over.  The victor claims the field and the day.

Now, all of scripture is a mirror into which you see yourself.  You are either in compliance with Gods will or you are not.  Most folks believe that they are doing Gods will, when in fact they couldn't be more wrong about themselves.

And, unfortunately most folks will look into their mirror and never see their real self.  They see only what they want to see.

However, the Bible teaches us to examine ourselves with objectivity, in order to determine if we are on the right track or not.  And the Bible gives us very clear criteria in order to know if we are on the right track or not.

So, do you know the criteria as spelled out by the Bible, or do you just go on what you think is right without verifying your beliefs.

This verse is very clear.

All who are out of sync with Gods will, will be defeated, will fall in their life, will lose out in the greater rewards of life.

All who are in sync with Gods will, will be the victors, the winners, the recipients of phenomenal rewards.

So, wouldn’t it be nice to know for certain that you are in compliance, and verifying that you are in compliance, rather than simply believing and hoping that you are?

If you have the jackpot ticket, do you just hope that you are the winner, or do you check the numbers to make sure?

If you tell the kids to clean up their room, do you hope that they will, or do you go and inspect to make sure?

If you are driving somewhere, do you hope that you have enough gas, or do you look at the gas gauge to see how much fuel that you have?  Heaven forbid that you are flying in a plane and do not check your fuel before you take off.

Isn’t your spiritual life just as important to make sure that you are doing all that you are expected to do, and not off track on some wild goose chase?

And so, just what is it that do know, or more important, what is it that you do not know?  And if you do not know, then how can you learn and be sure?  Or, will you even make the effort to check?

Psalm 20:7

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:7

7 Some trust in chariots, [rekeb] and some in horses: [cuwc] but we will remember [zakar] the name [shem] of the LORD [Yahovah] our God. ['elohiym] KJV-Interlinear

7 Some boast in chariots, and some in horses; But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God. NASB

Throughout all of our lives we are trained to use the things that surround us, to better ourselves, to rely on things in order to get ahead.

Sometimes luck enters into the equation, or favorable circumstances are viewed as luck.  But in any case, there is nothing that occurs in life that was not seen by God in eternity past.

God, a very long time ago, looked down through the tunnel of time and considered all of the possibilities that may or may not happen with each and every individual.  Then He selected the best history sequence and that became the Divine Decrees.

The Divine Decrees are the complete embodiment of history that God saw long ago, and that which we are now experiencing.

God did not force us to make any of the decisions that we currently make.  He merely saw our decisions that we would make, given our placement into history that we now occupy.  God could have easily placed each of us into a different time in history, which would have given us a different life and different results.  We can only guess as to how we would turn out under any one of several different scenarios, but we are here, now, and that is what is important.  The what if’s, are irrelevant.  The here and now is relevant.

In the Divine Decrees, every aspect of your life, no matter how insignificant, no matter how vast, no matter how repetitive, everything concerning your life, all of your thoughts, decisions, intents, environmental circumstances, people you know or will know, your state of health, your home, family, favorite color and on and on, all aspects of your life are recorded in the Divine Decrees.

One would think that if you could see the chapter in Gods book, on your life, that you might be able to avoid problems, or make your life better.  But that is not to be.

God has done that for us, already.

And we call that our functional spiritual life.  If we pursue Gods will, pursue our daily spiritual studies and actually subscribe to a legitimate study, under instruction, in fellowship, apart from self-arrogance or some self-absorbed plan of our own, then we will be in effect following the best course possible in life, for ourselves.  This is a course that God has already pre-defined which will lead us to the very best result, not only now in this world but for all of eternity.

And so, for those who look to their intellect, look to luck, look to their many tools of life, whether they be wealth, power, military might, or social status, all of these things will never get you to the ultimate outcome that you desire, never.

Remember that God laid out history in accordance with what He saw in eternity past, and He made provision for and made ready for every circumstance that we would face in life.

So, if you are well to do, then be thankful, and do not abuse your good fortune, but use it as God would have you use it wisely.

If you are less fortunate, have health issues, are in dire straits of any type, then likewise be thankful.  God placed you there because you are well able to handle your situation.  God knows it and you just have to realize it for yourself.

There is a huge audience in heaven, angels, who are constantly watching each and every one of us, and they cheer when we achieve the purpose that God intends for us.

God intended for us to be born in to greatness, but that greatness is not of worldly content, it is of spiritual achievement. For that alone, not your pocketbook, determines your eternal reward and destiny.

One day you will leave this world and your opportunity to demonstrate your spiritual perseverance will end with your departure from this world.  So, you have the here and now, just as Olympians have their very few moments to demonstrate the results of their years of preparation.  Would they prepare for years, and then quite during their event?

So, too, you have your time in this life now, to fortify your eternal status.  Make good use of all that God places before you, whether good or bad, and do not let your guard down and do not give up.

Certainly it is difficult at times, especially when you are hurting either physically or mentally or emotionally, but pick yourself up, dust yourself off and advance in your spiritual life, and keep on doing that until God says, enough for you, and takes you home.

If you are still here then God is not finished with you, and you still need some fine tuning.

We are told to look to the things of heaven, and not to the things of this world. That simply means, look to the promise of a mountain of gold, and not to a pile of doggie doo-doo.

Which, to you, seems the more promising, and worth the pain and suffering and effort?

Psalm 20:6

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:6

6 Now know [yada`] I that the LORD [Yahovah] saveth [yasha`] his anointed; [mashiyach] he will hear [`anah] him from his holy [qodesh] heaven [shamayim] with the saving [yesha`] strength [gabuwrah] of his right hand. [yamiyn]KJV-Interlinear

6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven, With the saving strength of His right hand. NASB

In the first five verses, the God of Jacob, the line of the Messiah, the Savior, namely Jesus Christ, is identified as the one true and one and only God.  All others are fake and frauds and products of mans imagination and invention.

Through the position of fellowship, which is the sanctuary wherein God will receive and accept and hear all who come before Him in that one and only method of approach.

By means of the sacrifices and offerings, namely through the scriptures heard and learned wherein all other philosophies and opinions are rejected.

Then by that means, all prayer, and petitions are received, and if they are in accordance with Gods divine plan, then we have this verse.

Then we know, as David states in his prayer. He knows that when God is approached in accordance with His will, then all prayer is heard.  And furthermore, when all petitions are presented in accordance with Gods plan, then they are accepted.

Gods anointed are all who God has chosen.  David was appointed King and after that same pattern, all believers are appointed saved, appointed family of God, in accordance with Gods salvation plan through faith through and in the work of Christ, never on mans works or effort.

God hears from His holy position.  He does not compromise His position as God, and accept some lower aspect of diluted truth.  God does not compromise His principles.  God does not modify His plan for the sake of one persons random or emotional wants or desires.

God is perfect and His plan is perfect and His policy is perfect.

Therefore, do not suppose that you can or expect that God will change anything just for your convenience, especially when your wants are not in conformance with truth.

Truth will not change because of your weakness and lack of perseverance and lack of character.

So, if you want Gods attention, then you must change and conform to His rules, giving up your selfish ambitions, giving up your complaints, giving up your stubborn refusal to change.

If you refuse to make changes in yourself, then why would you expect a different result in your life?

Psalm 20:5

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:5

5 We will rejoice [ranan] in thy salvation, [yashuw`ah] and in the name [shem] of our God ['elohiym] we will set up our banners: [dagal] the LORD [Yahovah] fulfil [male'] all thy petitions. [mish'alah] KJV-Interlinear

5 We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.  NASB

This verse ends the prayer and is then followed by a pause.  The change of speaker in the next verse reflects the poetic pause.

The salvation referred to here is to all the victories that God gives us throughout our life.  Salvation and deliverance from eternal condemnation is the ultimate victory and the all important victory that everyone can have by simply believing in Christ.

But throughout life, God gives us many victories, most of which we probably will never know about.

But just living and continuing in life in this devils world is a victory, especially when Satan and evil would prefer that we all die out and without God.

Still too, we have the necessary ingredients for an even greater life, both now and especially in our eternal future.  And those ingredients are all of the contents of the scriptures, and our spiritual life, and the spiritual growth that will qualify us for a phenomenal eternity.

Rejoice here, means to celebrate as one who celebrates with yelling and screaming of happiness when an extremely close and difficult competition finally tilts in your favor and you win.  There is jubilance and pandemonium and excitement at the victory.

If you live through this life and suddenly all of your burdens and worries and troubles are lifted from you, then your joy and peace and happiness will explode in happiness and celebration.

And that is how you should look to all of Gods victories, the big ones and the little ones, the ones you know about and the ones that you will never know about.

Focus on troubles, gains you nothing.  But in every day of your life there are those things that you should recognize and for which you should be thankful.

To focus on your troubles and complain with endless complaining, simply states that you have no confidence or faith in God and His plan for your life.  When has a worry ever gained you anything?  When has a complaint gained you anything?  Certainly everything negative never advances your spiritual life even an inch, but in fact sets you back more and more.

Therefore set your banners, your flags, your attention and expressions of faith in God and doctrine.  It is that which will carry you through life, not emotional or bitter reactions.

There will be no shortage of things to be bitter about or to complain about.  But you are still here, are you not?

And then there is the final part of this prayer, that the Lord will grant you all of your petitions.  A petition is a request, and we all ask God for things, continually.

But God is not a genie.  And God does not recognize the requests of a negative person.  God ignores all things coming from and spiritually negative person.  God ignores all requests coming from a spiritually disobedient person.  Consider your rejection of Gods mandates and expectations of you, and consider wisely, not foolishly.

You have to look at God first, obey His mandates, which are simply that you grow up in your spiritual life.  Then God will take care of all the things that you need in life, things that He will supply to maximize your spiritual completeness.

Those things may include things, but more likely, God will supply you with that which will advance your spiritual growth to an ultimate victory for all of eternity.  And that most certainly will include pressures in life, in order to test and prove your spiritual toughness.

Therefore be thankful in all things, both good and bad.

Your ultimate banner is the entrenched doctrine in your soul, its continual legitimate use and application to your life, and your ultimate spiritual growth and mental toughness and mental attitude that leads you to the strongest faith possible, regardless of your circumstances.

Therefore, whether you live in a fine mansion, or are curled up in the dregs of a refugee camp, look first to God, and understand that your situation is there to teach you, to test you, to prove you, and to ultimately vindicate you with the greatest victory possible.

Gods will comes first and foremost.  Your will does not count, but must change to be in line with Gods will and plan for all of human history and for His plan for your personal life.

God has a phenomenal plan for your life and often times that plan is redirected through many detours due to your stubborn attitude toward Him and doctrine.  Think about it.

Psalm 20:4

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:4

4 Grant [nathan] thee according to thine own heart, [lebab] and fulfil [male'] all thy counsel. [`etsah] KJV-Interlinear

4 May He grant you your heart's desire, And fulfill all your counsel!  NASB

Thus far in this psalm, we have looked at the promises of God for each individual while we are in the days of our trouble.

We live in this world and since this is the devils world, all of our days are technically enveloped in trouble.  From the moment of your birth to the moment of your death, you are living in a hostile environment, designed by Satan, determined to lead you to ruin.

The world will give you too much so that you will not need truth.  The world will make your life miserable so that you will live in complaints and blame.

This prayer is addressed to the God of Jacob, thus distinguishing the line of the Messiah, namely Jesus Christ, from all other gods.  Christ is the one true God, all others are false.

God sends us help from within the sanctuary of fellowship, wherein our spiritual life functions.

God strengthens us through doctrine, the mountain of truth and power, often times called or illustrated by the term, Zion.

God recognizes our correct worship, namely our daily study and all that we learn, think and do, within the scope of Bible doctrine, recognizing that it is the work of Christ and not our work, that gains credit lest our arrogance overtake our views in life.

And, now in our current verse, the thoughts of our soul should be correlated with Gods thoughts, namely Bible doctrine.  If our thoughts are of a sinful nature, then we would be out of sync with God.

Our counsel likewise, needs to be in line with truth and the counsel of God, and not of our own choosing or convenience.

Therefore, God grants us all that is in accordance with our desires and fulfills all of our plans that are in accordance with truth.

God has a plan for your life.  God has a plan for all of human history.  God has a plan for all of history.

His plan over rides all things of individual purpose, but simultaneously incorporates them into His plan with perfect precision.

In eternity past, God looked forward through the tunnel of time, and saw all of the possible options for each and every individual who would ever live.  He selected the one plan that gives everyone the very best opportunity for their life and future.

And so you were placed in history at the perfect moment in time such that you would grow up and be led by either God or your environment depending on the choices you make in your life.  Good choices maximize your opportunities.  Bad choices reduce your opportunities.

What you learn and retain in your soul, drives your desires and plans.

If you learn worldly lusts and selfishness, then your thoughts are of a sinful and self-centered nature.

If you learn doctrine, then your thoughts and intents are more compatible with Gods will.

And God backs up and supports divine viewpoint, never evil purposes.

Sometimes sorting out your thoughts and intentions gets mixed up within your own head.  Self-righteousness can cut you off just as easily as the many lusts and desires that will cross your path in life.

And the only way to keep it all in line, is through a daily study of the scriptures, but not from your own effort, you must learn through instruction until you have grown up sufficiently to be able to discern truth from fiction.

And most folks can live to be a hundred and never get it, simply because they presume too much by overrating themselves.  They live their life picking and choosing and abiding only by what they choose to believe and follow, rather than humbling themselves to truth and subordinating themselves to the authority of doctrine.

Most folks do not like their place in life, and that is a subtle resentment of what God has done for you.  And all the while, while you have been dissatisfied with life, it has been your own fault for not learning truth, for not complying with Gods mandates, for not stepping back and looking at yourself objectively, for refusing to recognize the opportunities that God has given you, and thus never making the most of them.

People often quote scripture believing that the simple quote will somehow become a genie for their wants in life.  However, God blesses the foundation of doctrine that resides in your soul, not the empty whims of your wishes.

Learn nothing, have nothing.

Learn doctrine and build up the solid structure and capacity for receiving everything.

A warehouse that is never built cannot store the harvest.  The warehouse has to be built before it can be filled with production.

It is the same with your life.  God gives us so many simply illustrations.  Why are so many people never able to figure it out?

Psalm 20:3

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:3

3 Remember [zakar] all thy offerings, [minchah] and accept [dashen] thy burnt sacrifice; [`olah] Selah. [celah] KJV-Interlinear

3 May He remember all your meal offerings, And find your burnt offering acceptable! Selah. NASB

The burnt offering represents the will of God and His sole plan for all of creation.  It speaks of the Cross and Christ’s sacrifice on the cross in order to provide salvation for all who believe.  And, the burnt, though it was a teaching tool for instruction in salvation and the work of God and man in the one person of the Messiah, it also represents mans or the offeror’s recognition and acceptance of Gods plan while simultaneously rejecting mans will and mans plan for history and life.

The meal offering, ‘minchah,’ is a gift or a presentation to God in thanks for the provisions that God has given to man.  It is confined to cereals or grains that have been ground up into flour and then mixed with oil.  Oil is representative of Gods grace provision.  This is an offering of thanks and in recognition of Gods provision, and Gods provision alone.

Man can live his life and come to believe that he and he alone has made and accomplished whatever it is that he has.  And this is arrogance and a total rejection of Gods divine decrees.  Those decrees are the details of Gods plan, in infinite detail, that takes into account everything that occurs in history.

No matter what is in your life, God made every provision for everything that you have.  Whether it is the date that God actually caused you to be born, to any and all friends or acquaintances that you will have, to every aspect of your career and life that you will live, to everything that you will own, to every problem that you will face in life, and so forth.

Too many people face many and unending problems because they fight Gods plan. They live on their own arrogance, or on their own hate, or on their own attitude of self-importance, and so their life goes from one problem to the next and they never get it.  They stubbornly reject humility.

Man makes offerings in recognition of Gods will and provision, and God recognizes those offerings and accepts them because they are true and correct.  God never accepts false offerings.

In the Old Testament times, offerings were a part of ones daily or monthly or yearly life.  They represent mans spiritual activity within their daily life.

Today we do not have offerings, we have the written word, we have our daily study, we have our daily or how ever often it is needed, confession, we have our prayers, we have our spiritual growth and so forth.  These are our current versions of offerings.

Your daily life, lived in fellowship, is a living and continual offering and worship indicating your recognition and acceptance and adoption of Gods plan and mandates and principles, etc., in your life.

So long as you pursue your spiritual life legitimately, then your spiritual activities are accepted.  Only when your spiritual activities become phony or arrogance filled are they rejected by God.

We all have our responsibilities and obligations in life.  And it is God who decides what those responsibilities and obligations are.  We do not have the right or option to pick and choose what we will or will not accept.

Confront or fight against or reject Gods defined responsibilities for you, and therein lies your answer as to why you will fail.

In life we all will face problems and hardships.

All hardships come in two categories.

First are those hardships that exist for our punishment because we are not in compliance with Gods will, and second are those hardships that are there because we are in compliance but God is placing tests in front of us in order to strengthen our spiritual resolve and faith.

To determine what your hardships are, is as easy as looking in the mirror of your own life and answering the questions as to whether you are in compliance with Gods definition of the spiritual life and your responsibilities therein, or not.

If you are objective, studying daily, confess regularly, and otherwise abiding by Gods defined responsibilities and obligations for your life, then your problems in life are most likely for advancing your spiritual growth.

If you are subjective, do not study regularly, do not confess regularly, are driven by your emotions instead, have your own attitude as to what you will or will not abide by in life, then your problems are of your own doing.  You will fail over and over, again and again in life until you either wake up and change or until the date of your death.

Psalm 20:2

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:2

2 Send [shalach] thee help [`ezer] from the sanctuary, [qodesh] and strengthen [ca`ad] thee out of Zion; [Tsiyown] KJV-Interlinear

2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, And support you from Zion! NASB

The sanctuary is the place of Gods residence.  It is a sacred place, a holy place, a consecrated place.  It is the place where the believer may approach God.

This is a reference symbolically, to the temple, to the tabernacle, to the inner room in the tabernacle which was called the holy of holies.  This is the place where the believer may approach God, may interact with God, and can receive Gods blessings or favor also called Gods grace.

The earthly temple or tabernacle was made of brick and mortar and wood and such earthly materials.  However, not all people have an opportunity to go to some church or otherwise a place that is considered by society, as holy.

There is a true holy place or sanctuary, and that place is the fellowship sphere, which is a spiritual environment within the soul of the believer.  That place is entered by means of confession, and left by means of sin.

And it should be clear that help comes to you by means of your spiritual life, and by no other means.

Your spiritual life functions and is operational only when you are in fellowship.  Fellowship is the true sanctuary in this world.  Any and all churches or synagogues, or mosques and such are not worth any more than the material they were constructed with.  They do not function as a contact with God, and prayer or anything spiritual does not work better when you are inside of a church.

Your spiritual life is not and never will be dependent on or governed by, any constructed building in this world.

Your state of mind is the ultimate determining factor as to the effectiveness of your spiritual life.

Strength out of Zion, is a reference to the content and growth of your spiritual life.  Zion also represents the residence of God, but it also represents the policy and government of God.

Zion is a mountain inside of the city of Jerusalem.  Jerusalem stands for and represents the city of peace.

The cross was outside of the city.  The cross represents the work of Christ and salvation.

Once saved, then you have access to the doctrine that exists inside the city on Mt. Zion. Zion represents the vast source of truth.

Daily study and consistent spiritual growth enable you to advance to spiritual maturity, or a state of inner peace.  That is represented by residence inside the city of Jerusalem, the city of peace.

So, these places are actual physical places, like the temple, the city, the mountain and such, but they are there to represent and teach spiritual principles.

And here we have two of the most important principles, namely the sanctuary or place where you have access and a hearing and a conversation with God.  That is when you are in fellowship, which you possess when you confess your sins.  Fellowship is the place of all help and interaction, or your functional spiritual activity with God, directly with God.

Your spiritual strength results from doctrine.  Zion represents the vast resources of truth which are made available to you, when you are in fellowship.

Your daily study while in fellowship causes the construction of a temple or sanctuary or fortress within your soul.

The application of that doctrine to your daily life, and again while in fellowship, builds productivity within your soul.

And the two, when repeated throughout your daily life, become your effective spiritual exercise and muscle building program that builds up your confidence, your faith, your stability, your inner happiness.

Psalm 20:1

Copyright Ó 2012 J. Neely
Psalm 20:1

1 To the chief Musician, [natsach] A Psalm [mizmowr] of David. [David]
The LORD [Yahovah] hear [`anah] thee in the day [yowm] of trouble; [tsarah] the name [shem] of the God ['elohiym] of Jacob [Ya`aqob] defend [sagab] thee; KJV-Interlinear

1 For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! NASB

Music comes from musicians, and generally refers to the grace of God which plays throughout history regardless of what circumstances exist at any point in time in history.  God is the author and provider of grace.  Grace is His divine policy.  Grace is Gods divine favor toward man.

And here we have a prayer, that God will hear the prayers of David specifically, and of all believers in general, in their times of trouble.

The phrase, ‘God of Jacob,’ is a phrase that often refers to the Hebrew people.

Jacob was one of the line of the Messiah, and of the Hebrew people.  His name was changed to Israel, and thus the name of the nation of Israel came from Jacobs new name.

This separates Israel from all other nations who may claim that their god or gods are true and being referred to here, but this separation completely rejects all other gods, and points exclusively to one single God, namely that of Jacob.

This lends credibility and exclusivity to the Messiah and to the line of the Messiah and thus to the line of David, which ultimately reaches down to Jesus Christ.

If those lines were not protected, then Christianity would have no basis in fact or in history.  And yet those lines have been preserved until Jesus, and that gives credibility and exclusivity and legitimacy to the lines that led to the birth of Jesus.

The God of Jacob also is a reference to the genetic race of the Hebrews, generally now called Jews.  But all Jews are not followers of the one true Messiah, having rejected him at the Cross.  So, in history and in prophecy, there will be tendencies to refer both the Christians, or all peoples who have believed in Christ, as well as to the Jewish people, who will ultimately turn to Christ in mass during the Tribulation.

God has promised that those Jewish peoples will not only exist throughout history, but will be held under great persecution in the final days, and that they will turn to Christ and that He will return to save them from total annihilation.

This same promise refers to believers collectively, which gives all believers, both Jew and non-Jew, the security of Gods eternal promise of salvation.
