10 Be wise [sakal] now therefore, O ye kings: [melek] be instructed, [yacar] ye judges [shaphat] of the earth. ['erets] KJV-Interlinear

10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. NASB

Given that humanity seeks his own truth, his own way through life. Given that humanity rejects truth and replaces it with imagined truths, which are lies. Given that humanity proposes to define and design his own meaning and purpose and destiny, completely ignoring all facts and reality governing life.

Then, here is the instruction of God, be wise.

Wise, sakal, means to be circumspect, to be intelligent, to consider, expert, instructed, to prosper in truth, to teach or be taught, to understand, to guide or be guided wittingly, knowingly, consciously.

God instructs us all to learn truth, understand it correctly, orient to life correctly, and to apply truth to the realities of life correctly. And you say, ‘No, only kings and judges are to do that, as it says here.’ But you are wrong.

The word for king here, means leader, advisor, one who would lead, counsel, or otherwise teach or rule or guide others.

The word for judges here means one who pronounces an opinion based on information. This certainly applies to the judge on the bench, but it has a broader application to all people who have an opinion. That includes you as well as everyone.

Therefore, everyone is to be wise, but wisdom comes from instruction, and learning comes from instruction, and instruction comes from the daily study of truth.

That is exactly what you are doing right now, studying, being instructed, learning, and hopefully understanding it all bit by bit. And with a steady diet of daily food, just as you do with your daily meats and veggies and such, so too, with Bible doctrine, you learn and understand and eventually grow up to maturity.

Maturity is the quintessence of understanding and the authentication of wisdom.
