Titus 2:15

15 These things [tauta] speak [laleo], and [kai] exhort [parakaleo], and [kai] rebuke [elegcho] with [meta] all [pas] authority [epitage]. Let [periphroneo] no man [medeis] despise [periphroneo] thee [sou]. KJV-Interlinear

15 These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you. NASB

Someone once said, ‘Never turn your back on your enemies, and kneel only before God.’

That is to be your attitude within your spiritual life. Truth stands the tests of life. Truth never needs to apologize, never needs to find excuses, never needs to be explained.

Hold fast to truth, always.

This does not mean to hold fast to your beliefs, for many folks believe some of the weirdest things and tend to be stubborn and unbending in their attitudes.

Doctrine is tolerant and malleable to life and to the quirks that many folks have. But doctrine is stable and sits on an unmovable foundation of truth.

Bible doctrine stands on its own.

Do not allow intimidations, complaints, ridicule, insults, and such to alter your faith in God, in Christ, in doctrine, in your spiritual life.

Hold fast in your faith and do not cower to peer pressures.

The world is not going to like you. The world is not going to lift you up in honor.

Christians are generally viewed as a laid back, un-opinionated, quiet sort of group, and as such are an easy target for public contempt.

But at the same time, mature believers in Christ are the salt of the earth, the chief target of Gods blessing, and heirs to an eternal inheritance that exceeds the imagination.

Mature believers maintain their poise under pressure, and are courageous in war. They get back up when they stumble, and never lose their trust in God.

Mature believers always accept responsibility, never complain, and in all things, whether in poverty or prosperity, look to God through Christ, and place their trust in His plan for their life.

Stop worrying about anything, but in everything through prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known unto God. The peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will garrison your hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus. Cast all your cares on Him and He will sustain you, He will never let the righteous be moved. For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, even Jesus Christ our Lord, who is able to present you without blemish, before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Amen.
