Psalm 22:3
3 But thou art holy, [qadowsh] O thou that inhabitest [yashab] the praises [tahillah] of
Israel. [Yisra'el] KJV-Interlinear
3 Yet
Thou art holy, O Thou who art enthroned upon the praises of Israel. NASB
The prayer continues from
the cross, and should continue from you no matter where you are or what your
circumstances might be in life.
God has forsaken, or
relinquished His presence from the cross and from Jesus.
God delays in answering
the prayers for rescue, as the importance of the cross is more important than
any personal relief.
The cross was planned in
eternity past and when it actually occurred, many thousands if not millions if
not billions of years had passed, leading up to this precise moment and event
in history.
God was not going to come
all this way through history, and simply stop or quit. Too many lives, too many people from all of history
depended on Gods faithfulness and work on the cross.
Jesus continues His
prayer. God is holy, set apart, clean,
pure, untainted, a sanctuary.
And even though the
circumstances of Jesus are dire, He placed God the Father in a place of
perfection, and not in a place of blame.
God has a plan, and that
plan called for the cross, and in many cases, for certain suffering to enter
into the lives of people. How will you
react? How will you deal with your faith
toward God? How will you question what
is happening or not happening in your life?
Jesus expresses and
simultaneously teaches us how to express confidence in God, no matter what we
might face in life.
For God inhabits the praises
of Israel.
Israel is a genuine
nation. It is made up of people and a
geographical area on the planet.
But Israel is also symbolic
of Gods people, namely everyone who believes in Christ and is therefore saved
and a member of Gods family and spiritual nation.
While God dwelled in the
Tabernacle throughout the history of the Israelites, and was surrounded by
those praising Him, that indwelling was symbolic of God indwelling within the
nation, and therefore every individual member of that nation. God indwells every believer and does so from
the moment of your salvation.
The indwelling did not become
functional and active until after the cross, and more specifically after the beginning
of our current dispensation, but once salvation had been secured, then when a
person believes in Christ, one of the many blessings that comes to the believer
is the indwelling of each and every member of the trinity.

You cannot feel that
indwelling, nor sense it, nor detect it.
It is simply there and will remain so forever.
So, you have something
that no unbeliever has. And, you will have
it forever, thus an additional security of your eternal life, and an additional
promise of a wonderful life in heaven with God forever.
God is the center of all
believers praises, and God is in the center of every believer.
